All work
Television channel, Samira TV
Samira Plus
The channel live and on replay, in your pocket
On the App Store On Google Play Built with INPACT
The need
Samira TV wanted its own platform: live TV, replay and real-time audience votes during shows, on phones as well as TV sets.
What I built
- iOS, Android and Apple TV apps: live, video on demand, short formats
- Offline downloads, Chromecast and AirPlay
- Live votes and quizzes during shows
- A dashboard for the channel’s team
In numbers
- 10K+ downloads on Google Play
- 3 platforms: iOS, Android and Apple TV
- 1080p stepping down to 360p on a weak connection
Why it holds
-
Holds live-show peaks
Votes are counted in memory and saved in the background, so a spike during a show overloads nothing.
-
Watchable on a weak connection
Every video exists in 360p, 720p and 1080p. The player picks according to the phone’s connection.
